Hello!
I’m thinking about you. Yes, you. You who want to hop on a plane for 12 hours, have lunch in Doha (I love this airport, especially for its mesmerizing welcome video) before flying onto Kathmandu, where we can hang out for a few nights, then jump on a plane to fly under Mt. Everest and land in Paro. That’s in Bhutan. The tiny little country that you may have heard prides itself on it’s Gross National Happiness.
I took a webinar the other day about international retreats. There is a real hunger for travel with meaning, and purpose, not just laying on the beach, swimming up to a pool bar, and hitting the buffet (although there is a time and place for that!)
I'm seeing this hunger too. My 6-day Write & Roam Iceland last October filled up so quickly that I had to add a second week. And now Write & Roam Bhutan is filling up faster than I ever imagined. For such a unique trip, so far away, and such a magnificent experience, I know only a handful of people ever sign up for such bucket-list journeys. And they are. I can only take 10. Three spaces are claimed. Two are on hold. I don't want you to miss out on this trip. It is competitively priced and highly curated. This will be my third visit to Bhutan (who gets to do that?!) I have the experience and the travel team behind me to make this a journey you will never forget. Don't miss it. Want to talk about it? Let me know. You can read all the details of our sojourn here:

Why take this trip with me? I’ve been leading journeys to sacred sites since 2007. I love taking people to incredible places and experiencing the beauty, the unpredictability, and the serendipity, together. There was a time in Agra when we had dinner with a family, and the woman of the house took us into her closet to show us her vintage saris. She pulled out drawers of ancient jewelry and let us touch the gems and gold. And that time in the Pilgrim Bookstore in Varanasi when we were serenaded with classical Indian music and the owner showered us with rose petals. The helicopter ride over crop circles in England revealed the most intricate of geometric designs. And the hot mineral water spa in Aguas Calientes, where the masseuses climbed on our backs and pummeled us with their feet and I laughed so hard I peed myself! There was a spontaneous yoga session at the Dochula Pass. Oh and that time in Bhutan when our guide, Ugeen Tsweewan (who will be our guide again), took us to his friend’s new restaurant, and we joined a group of women in the kitchen who taught us a chant for the success of the new venture. We held hands in a circle and sang in a language we did not know but with a feeling we understood.
Those are the moments of travel that I live for. The itinerary is a blueprint but there is always time, space, and awareness to allow for the unexpected. The unscheduled. The unknown becoming known.
Come with me. See my website for details. Let’s make memories together.
