Hello, my friends!
I hope you are enjoying this shift into a new season. I don't know about you, but it brings to mind all sorts of memories like waiting for the school bus in a new outfit. Going to Temple for Rosh Hashana, again in a new outfit (it was always wool and too warm and itchy for the lingering summer heat). And thinking about a Halloween costume! I hope you have good memories.
Come share them with me! I have a class coming up this Sunday (Sept. 24) at 10 a.m. at the gorgeous Manor Mill in Monkton. This truly is a great opportunity to access and express your creativity with a group, feel the support of your salon mates, and be inspired and encouraged by their words and feedback. This is a one-time class to either introduce you to the method or entice you to write more. Remember - YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A WRITER TO JOIN US!
In November I'll have a 4-week class at the Mill in which we do a deep dive into the writing process, working through prompts and feedback to create a 1200-word piece at the end of the sessions.
Space is limited to just 8 people for both classes. Use the link here to find the Writing Salon and sign up. It's a little clunky to get to my sign-up page - -just scroll down a bit until you see: Workshops: Gateless Writing Workshop with Susan Weis-Bohlen
More stuff happening can be found here on my website.
AND! There is still an opportunity to join my Iceland Writing Retreat. The second week has 2 openings: https://susanweisbohlen.com/retreats. You would fly on Oct. 30, arriving on Oct. 31. We will write, hike, do yoga, meditate, eat the freshest farm-to-table food, see Iceland's sacred sites, soak in hot springs, see the Northern Lights, and let nature be the magical muse. COME! A single room is $4795. Share a room and it's $4295. Flights from BWI and most East Coast cities start at $300 ROUND TRIP on Play Air! All the details and itinerary are on my website. Call or text me if you want to chat about it: - 410-979-2096, or email me! I'd love to have you join us.
Happy New Year, Shana Tova, to my Jewish friends and all of you. (here is a hilarious video that I swear you don’t have to be Jewish to get). It has always felt right to me that the new year begins when the weather changes from summer to fall. Nothing much happens from Dec. 31 to Jan. 1.
lots of love,
Susan
