You may have noticed over the past few years that my posts have changed from all Ayurveda to include more about writing. Why? What does writing have to do with Ayurveda?
It’s all about the healing. So now I lead writing retreats to take you into that magical state of being where healing, harmony, and happiness arise naturally, with long-lasting effects, just like Ayurveda.
Writing and publishing (I’ve written three books — here’s the new one) took me to a place in my soul that wasn’t exclusively Ayurveda. I dug deeper into my story and found insights, details, and experiences I had forgotten. They were illuminating.

We are all born with a natural ability and facility for language, whether it’s talking, writing, reading, or painting — it is innate. Expression and creativity can flow from any modality. I promote a type of writing that leads you to fearless self-expression, undoing years of conditional learning in which you were told to follow the rules. Stay in your lane. You can’t do that! And the ever-present, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? We going to throw that all away, never to be dug out of the trash again.
My writing retreats release you from those bands of constriction, the inner critic, and the fear that may be holding you back. On our retreat, we will trek the land, filling our senses with experiences, feeling the quiet, sacred energy of Iceland, and bringing it to the page. Emotions stirred by the raw beauty, destinies entwined with your fellow writers, words will be shared and received with awe.
